We are seeking a proactive and results-driven BDM – Industrial Chemical to drive the sales of chemical raw materials across West Africa.

The ideal candidate will have a strong understanding of the chemical industry, possess exceptional sales acumen, and be adept at building and nurturing client relationships to expand market share and achieve sales targets.

Role Desciption:

 

  • Market Expansion:
    • Develop and implement strategies to grow market share and achieve sales targets for chemical raw materials in the assigned region.
  • New Business Development:
    • Identify and pursue new business opportunities through lead generation, prospecting, and closing deals with potential clients.
  • Client Relationship Management:
    • Build and maintain strong relationships with key clients, industry stakeholders, and partners to drive business success.
  • Market Research & Analysis:
    • Conduct market research to monitor industry trends, competitor activities, and evolving customer needs.
    • Stay informed about regulatory changes and local industry standards.
  • Sales Proposals & Presentations:
    • Prepare and deliver compelling sales proposals and presentations tailored to client needs and objectives.
  • Cross-functional Collaboration:
    • Work closely with internal teams to ensure the timely delivery of products and maintain high levels of customer satisfaction.
  • Payment Collection:
    • Ensure timely collection of payments from customers, aligning with company policies.
  • Industry Representation:
    • Represent the company at industry events, trade shows, and networking opportunities to promote products and services.

 

Qualifications:

 

Education & Additional Information:

  • Education: Bachelor’s degree in Chemistry, Chemical Engineering, Business Administration, or a related field.
  • Age Range: 30-40 years
  • Industry Preference: Experience in the Industrial Chemical industry is preferred

 

Key Skills:

  • Experience: Proven track record of business development and sales in a Francophone country, preferably in West Africa.
  • Industry Knowledge: Strong understanding of basic chemistry and familiarity with the chemical raw materials market.
  • Language Proficiency: Fluency in French (both written and spoken) is essential.
  • Independence: Ability to work independently and manage time effectively.
  • Analytical Skills: Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities, with a focus on data-driven decision-making.
  • Network: Established network of industry contacts and potential clients in the chemical industry.
  • Regulatory Knowledge: Familiarity with local regulations and industry standards in West Africa and surrounding regions.
