Job Summary
The COO will be responsible for overseeing the company’s day-to-day operations, driving operational excellence, and ensuring alignment with the company’s long-term strategic goals. This role requires a seasoned leader with expertise in the electrical industry, proven experience in managing manufacturing, distribution, and customer-focused operations, and the ability to lead a high-performing team. The COO will play a pivotal role in scaling operations, improving efficiency, and driving growth in both B2B and B2C markets.
Key Responsibilities:
- Operational Leadership: Manage manufacturing, supply chain, and distribution to ensure efficiency, cost-effectiveness, and quality while driving strategic initiatives.
- Business Growth: Expand B2C segments and develop strategies to grow revenue and customer base in West Africa and international markets.
- Team Management: Lead and mentor cross-functional teams, fostering collaboration and accountability.
- Market Expansion: Drive export operations and strengthen dealer and distributor networks to grow market presence.
- Customer Focus: Ensure customer satisfaction through high-quality products, reliable delivery, and effective collaboration with sales and service teams.
- Performance Monitoring: Track KPIs, identify improvement areas, and report operational updates to the CEO and board.
Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s degree in Engineering and MBA preferred.
- 15+ years of experience in electrical or manufacturing industry with experience in P&L management, driving topline and bottom-line growth, and leading business strategy.
- Proven track record as a Business Head or Country Head, preferably in the electrical or manufacturing industry.
