Role Summary:

The Financial Controller will be responsible for financial strategy, cost optimization, banking operations, and compliance in a high-volume manufacturing setup of our client. This role requires a detail-oriented and strategic thinker who can drive profitability, streamline financial processes, and ensure robust financial controls.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Financial & Accounting Oversight: Lead financial planning, budgeting, and reporting, ensuring accuracy and compliance with local and international accounting standards.
  • Banking & Treasury Management: Manage cash flow, banking operations, and forex transactions to maintain liquidity and optimize financial resources.
  • Costing & Profitability Analysis: Oversee cost control measures, product costing strategies, and pricing decisions to drive profitability.
    Procurement & Inventory Control: Supervise raw material imports, supplier payments, receivables, payables, and inventory management to ensure efficiency.
  • Compliance & Risk Management: Ensure adherence to Nigerian financial regulations, tax policies, and statutory audit requirements, implementing risk mitigation strategies.
Qualifications:

 

Education: A qualified CA (Chartered Accountant)
Experience: 8-15 years in Finance & Accounting, with at least 3 years in a leadership role.

Core Competencies: 

Strong analytical skills in financial modeling, forecasting, budgeting, and variance analysis.

Expertise in ERP systems, operational finance, and statutory compliance.

Excellent leadership, communication, and negotiation skills.
